Project Manager Overview

The position of project manager carries the responsibility of planning, directing and coordinating all activities on designated projects from the point of sale to completion to ensure that the projects are accomplished on time and in conformance with all the terms and conditions of the contracts. In addition, the project manager acts as the main contact person for the customer and all internal departments on a particular project. The project manager is directly responsible for monitoring the project costs and compliance with contract documents, attending job meetings and protecting Coreslab’s interest throughout the entire process.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Review Client Contract and become familiar with the terms and conditions
  • Monitor the progress and status of each assigned project as it moves through the process, and act to problem solve proactively, offer technical advice, and assist other staff members so as to expedite assigned projects, remove obstacles which may cause a project to fall behind schedule.
  • Prepare accurate documentation of project progress
  • Attend contractor coordination meetings
  • Prepare any applicable Change Order Proposals in a timely manner
  • Ensuring the finished product meets Coreslab’s high quality standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years construction experience
  • Minimum of 5 years precast concrete experience preferred
  • Management skills
  • Strong communication and customer relations skills
  • Must have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Previous estimating experience preferred
  • Proficient in, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Proficient in AutoCAD preferred
  • LEED AP a plus
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Ability to review and work from production schematics and engineering drawings
